Thomas joined Abacus in 2016 and is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day delivery of statutory, company secretarial, and regulatory services across the Group. Working closely with colleagues, clients, and professional intermediaries, he helps ensure corporate entities remain compliant with their ongoing obligations while maintaining high standards of governance and administration.
His role encompasses a broad range of matters relating to both Isle of Man and UK companies, including incorporations, share allotments and transfers, changes to officers and company details, annual returns, beneficial ownership requirements, redomiciliations, and company liquidations. He also coordinates board meeting processes and oversees the maintenance of statutory records across a wide variety of structures.
Alongside his technical responsibilities, Thomas provides guidance, training, and oversight to members of the team, helping to promote consistency, accuracy, and best practice. He supports the development of colleagues and helps ensure company secretarial services are delivered to a consistently high standard.
Thomas is also responsible for the administration of a varied portfolio of client structures, including family trusts, commercial property holding companies, and investment holding companies. This combines his statutory expertise with hands-on fiduciary experience, enabling him to support a diverse range of client requirements.
Thomas holds a First-Class BA (Hons) in Sports Studies from the University of Central Lancashire and a Master of Arts in Business Entrepreneurship from the University of Chester. He is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
