Post event commentary for the Superyacht Forum 2017

Abacus representatives, Samantha Snow – Client Services Director and Emma Hill – Senior Corporate Administrator, recently returned from a four-day attendance at the Superyacht Forum.

The event, which ran from 13th – 16th November in Amsterdam RAI, brought together a combination of over 800 delegates, comprising designers, builders, brokers, captains, lawyers, architects, suppliers, consultants, owners and investors in the superyacht industry.

This edition introduced a new and enhanced concept event, the result being an integration of all their previous events: SuperyachtDESIGN Week, the Superyacht Management Meetings, The Superyacht Owner’s Summit, Make Your Mark and the Global Superyacht Forum. The Forum resulted in a powerful meeting for all sectors of the superyacht market, and one of the most valuable events worth attending in the calendar.

Leaders in the superyacht industry had the opportunity to attend high-level, dynamic and inspiring meetings, workshops and interactive sessions and to discuss future topics which the Superyacht industry will be facing.

Commenting on the event, Samantha said: “The Superyacht Forum is a valuable event for us; due to the new format, we were also able to customise the schedule of the event to our interests and needs, while having the opportunity to explore other disciplines that spark interest and curiosity.”

“Abacus is deeply committed to the superyacht industry and we are continuing to develop and evolve our service offerings to meet the ever-changing clients’ needs. Once again, the Forum proved to be an invaluable platform to meet with a network of partners and intermediaries, and keep up to date with the latest developments and industry trends.”
