Principal Applicants may also include dependents on their Malta IIP application, including; their spouses; dependents of 26 years of age and under and dependents over the age of 55, but they too, must all satisfy the programme’s eligibility criteria.
The Maltese Archipelago is located in the heart of the Mediterranean Sea, midway between Europe and North Africa. With a landscape ranging from low hills to limestone cliffs, to flat rural farmland and coastal beaches, Malta has a terrain suited to everyone, and complemented by a typical Mediterranean climate that enjoys around 300 days of sunshine each year, residents and visitors alike are spoilt with hot and dry summers, short mild winters with warm and sunny in-between.
Furthermore, Malta has not only withstood the challenges of the global economic crisis but has experienced continued growth across its diverse economy over the last ten years. This success has changed it from being just a popular tourist destination and turned it into a regional hub and centre of excellence across many business sectors, driving it up the ranks as one of the leading finance centres in Europe.
Its business friendly and economically stable environment remains focused towards doing business, and with close proximity and easy access to nearby markets in Europe, North Africa and the Middle East, it offers foreign investors a host of opportunities and benefits.
Whilst one of the smallest of the European Union’s member states, Malta has proven itself one of the fastest growing financial services centres in the world.
