Isle of Man based fiduciary services specialist, Abacus Trust Company Limited, is pleased to announce a new presentation to Isle of Man Institute of Directors (“IoD”) members.
Associate Director Kevin Loundes will deliver a presentation which will consider recent UK tax changes and how they may impact on Isle of Man businesses. Kevin’s presentation will cover the proposed changes to the UK tax treatment of non-domiciliaries and the tax treatment of UK residential property, along with tightening of rules on tax planning and tax avoidance. Kevin will also discuss the key tax issues for businesses on relocation to the Isle of Man and how this may impact on the Enterprise Development Fund initiative. Finally, Kevin will share his views on Brexit and possible implications for the Isle of Man.
A fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales and a member of the Chartered Institute of Tax, Kevin has over 10 years’ experience in advising offshore clients, with particular regard to residence, domicile and the use of offshore trusts and companies for tax–efficient planning.
As a qualified Chartered Tax Advisor, Kevin has a wealth of experience in the provision of international and UK tax advice to clients including offshore funds, property structures, trustees of offshore trusts and high net worth individuals.
Commenting on the upcoming seminar, Kevin Loundes said: “I am pleased to have been given the opportunity to speak to IoD Members. Given the volume and complexity of recent UK tax developments, it is easy to get bogged down in the detail. What I will be focusing on at the seminar is how these changes potentially impact on the Isle of Man and identifying key points for businesses and business leaders to be aware of.”
