As a new combined Group, Abacus and Landmark Trust Group will be attending the 28th annual Monaco Yacht Show (MYS) to be held at Port Hercules, Monaco, from 26 September to 29 September 2018.
During the Show, Mike Spittal, Managing Director of Landmark Trust Group, and Alex Beetham, Client Services Director of Abacus, will be meeting with Business Owners, Clients, Intermediaries and Industry Experts to discuss the ownership and management of luxury assets, with a particular focus on the Malta Yacht offering, including the recent changes to Yacht Leasing, the newly incorporated Crew Employment Company and how a Helicopter and Yacht can be used in conjunction, but owned and operated independently.
Commenting on the upcoming event, Alex said: “The Monaco Yacht Show is a must-attend event for all private yacht and asset owners, prospective buyers and decision-makers from leading companies in the luxury asset sectors. It delivers a spectacular exhibition that is renewed every year reflecting the constant changes in an industry driven by the desires of its wealthy clientele.”
“Participating at this event gives us the opportunity to talk with our existing and potential clients, learn more about their plans and share our mutual goals for the future. Our recent merger introduces great synergies whilst retaining the solid foundations both businesses have created over many years – it not only brings together tremendous strength from both sides, creating a wider offering of cross-jurisdictional and multi-disciplined services and expertise, but also it benefits our clients due to the increased range and depth of service the new combined group is now able to offer.”
“Furthermore, it represents a significant step forward in expanding the geographical span of Abacus and Landmark; the combined Group now encompasses offices in the Isle of Man, Malta, Monaco, Geneva, London and an associate office in Hong Kong,” Mike added.
“On one side, Abacus has a wealth of experience within the Yachting and Aviation industries. Based in both the Isle of Man and Malta, Abacus provides an extensive range of services aimed at owners and their representatives, with a focus on ownership planning, tax and administration. Abacus continually reviews and shapes its services to meet the ever changing requirements and regulations in these industries, ensuring that ownership structures and how they are administered are both compliant with current regulations and meet each client’s specific requirements.”
“On the other side, Landmark Trust Group operates from four international offices and provides professional fiduciary and administrative services to families whose wealth is held globally. We at Landmark have been doing this for more than 40 years, developing long term, trusted relationships with our client families based on our dedication to giving them an excellent service. Landmark brings the benefits of this heritage to each new and existing relationship, helping to ensure that their client families’ long-range wealth planning objectives are always met.”
