Abacus Aviation will once again be represented at the European Business Aviation Convention (‘EBACE’), the annual meeting place for the European business aviation community, being held next month in Geneva.
The event, jointly hosted by two of the world’s leading associations in the business aviation industry – the European Business Aviation Association (‘EBAA’) and the National Business Aviation Association (‘NBAA’); will be held at the prestigious Palexpo and Geneva International Airport between 20 -22 May 2014.
As one of the largest aviation events in Europe, EBACE showcases nearly 500 exhibitors and more than 50 aircraft each year, and provides a great networking platform for aviation industry professionals ranging from business leaders to government officials, to corporate aviation departments and other professional service providers.
John-Michael McCann will represent local fiduciary services specialist, Abacus, at this year’s exhibition. He said: “EBACE is one of the biggest events on the aviation industry’s calendar. I am looking forward to the opportunity to meet with other representatives in the industry to whom I can promote the Isle of Man and Malta as effective international aviation jurisdictions.
“The Isle of Man Aircraft Registry has grown from strength to strength over the last six years and is continually recognised for its success and continued growth – it is now recognised as one of the top aircraft registers in the world. With its high regulatory standards, a sound international reputation, competitive scheme of charges, politically neutral “M” registration prefix and customer focused service; it offers a number of benefits to any aircraft owner.
“Malta is a member of the EU and has an extensive double tax treaty network; it is also considered an ‘onshore’ jurisdiction but with ‘offshore’ benefits. It offers aircraft registration to both the private and commercial aircraft markets and their register also permits fractional ownership, registration of aircraft whilst under construction and engine registration, giving aircraft owners/part owners the flexibility in how they utilise their aircraft be it for commercial or private use, or a mixture of both. As a member of the EU it can also be used as a strategic VAT import jurisdiction for aircraft in the Southern Mediterranean region and has recently implemented a beneficial VAT simplification process for private aircraft.
“EBACE will provide a great networking platform for us to promote the potential benefits available to owners using the Isle of Man or Malta for aircraft importation, ownership and registration, and to promote Abacus Aviation’s full range of aircraft ownership structures and associated services to the event’s vast and diverse audience.”
