Abacus announces the appointment of a new Director to head up recently established UK operation

International corporate, trust and fund services provider, Abacus Trust Group, is pleased to announce a key appointment as part of their ongoing growth strategy and their plan to develop and drive their business in the UK and international markets.

Alasdair Johnston has been appointed Director and will head Abacus’ new UK operation, Abacus Advisory Limited, where – from the Group’s office in Mayfair, London – he will develop a UK client base as well as promoting the Abacus Group’s extensive range of offshore services to international clients and via intermediaries. He will help to maintain and build on Abacus’ existing relationships, whilst also developing new ones with a view to maximising business potential in the ever competitive industry. In addition, Alasdair has been appointed to the role of Group Legal Counsel for the overall Abacus Group.

Alasdair is a corporate & commercial lawyer with extensive know-how in international corporate structuring for wealthy and international families and with particular experience in Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Alasdair is a qualified solicitor in England and Wales, Dubai International Finance Centre (DIFC) and Gibraltar.
