Fiduciary, fund and professional services provider, Abacus, is pleased to announce its attendance at the upcoming Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Tax Group Meeting & Global Mobility Tax Services (GMTS), featured by Nexia. This year’s event will take place in Berlin from 19th to 21st October. Within this framework, experts from the Nexia network will discuss international issues in the areas of tax, law, reporting and auditing.
The format itself is similar to previous years. In addition to the technical lectures and news updates from the network, time will be reserved for informal networking.
Senior Tax Manager, Kevin Loundes, will attend the 3-day meeting on behalf of Abacus Trust Company. Kevin has over 10 years’ experience in advising offshore clients, with particular regard to residence, domicile and the use of offshore trusts and companies for tax–efficient planning. He has a wealth of experience in the provision of international and UK tax advice having advised a wide range of clients including offshore funds, property structures, trustees of offshore trusts and high net worth individuals.
Commenting on his attendance, Kevin Loundes said: “I am pleased to be part of Nexia network as its value lies within the close personal contacts between the worldwide members of the network. Not faceless consultants loosely connected, but rather business colleagues who value and know each other.
“Working closely with my Nexia colleagues across the globe and being constantly updated allows me to create tax efficiencies for existing and new clients. This means Abacus is well placed to proactively advise clients, using practical and technical experience, making them aware of potential opportunities.”
Nexia firms like Abacus are focused on supporting clients’ requests, providing efficient tax advice as well as guidance through legislative rules and new reforms.
